Epicure is one of the catering divisions of the Spotless Group. Epicure provides catering to a multitude of venues around Adelaide CBD and with the loss of their commercial kitchen at Adelaide Oval (due to the Oval’s redevelopment) needed a replacement facility to maintain their service.

Epicure engaged Grieve Gillett Architects to review options for a tenant refit of the previously known Observatory Function Centre in Hackney prior to signing the long term lease.

Grieve Gillett Architects undertook a compliance audit of the existing catering facility and prepared options for the extensive refit of the commercial kitchen to meet current SA Health standards. Subsequent to the lease signing, we developed design concepts and documentation in close consultation with cost manager Aquenta to ensure budget compliance but also to maximise value for money.

Grieve Gillett Architects managed select contractor interviews with Epicure to select a works contractor and then documented the works with contractor input to ensure budget compliance. We then worked with the contractor to deliver the works within the tight (and fixed) budget and within a very restricted time frame.
