2019 City of Adelaide Prize - People's Choice winner and Award for Educational Architecture, Australian Institute of Architects. St Mary's Corner, Adelaide CBD

The 2019 South Australian Architecture Awards were announced at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday 29 June, and we are proud to have received three awards and the People's Choice for The City of Adelaide Prize.

The program saw a large number of innovative learning environments entered and we were delighted that St Mary's Corner received both an Award for Educational Architecture, along with the People's Choice award in the City of Adelaide Prize.

In the residential categories, Baliol Residence was recognised for its potential of a private residence to contribute generously to the streetscape and public realm, and for small project architecture the sleek and minimalist design of the Hilton Gym Pavilion was judged as a respectful and creative solution to the Hilton brief.

We thank the Australian Institute of Architects and the juries for recognising these projects, and we also thank the clients, building contractors, consultants, and our committed team members who worked tirelessly on each project.

For St Mary's College, we wish to also thank the Office for Design and Architecture SA for their contribution for an enhanced outcome through the design review process, as well as Heritage South Australia for their support of the design proposal to integrate new work with heritage fabric.
