James Nuangki

Graduate of Architecture

James views architecture from a user perspective and considers how each design element can enrich their lives. He takes a particular interest in researching and aiming to understand human behaviours and movement within spaces. He contributes to legacy and sustainability through consideration of the longevity of the building and how the design approach could have an impact now and in the future.

Contributing to schematic design, design development and construction documentation, James has a diverse understanding of projects from both a design and build perspective. He has a sound knowledge of building typologies based in a varied portfolio and thorough research of material, structure and function. He uses the site to inspire the interface between natural and human-made, seeing any constraints as unique characteristics to be explored to arrive at an outcome that complements its surrounds.

With a friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills, James is able to establish positive working relationships with ease. James believes that great architecture is a result of respect, understanding and collaborative ideas. Harnessing design as a universal language, he enjoys working with clients and users to capture a vision they might not be able to articulate.
