Charlesworths Nuts engaged Grieve Gillett Architects to deliver a new retail outlet to the ground floor tenancy of the heritage listed building on the corner of Rundle Mall and King William Street. 

Grieve Gillett Architects had previously worked for the building owner to upgrade the external corner verandah and base building works. The Charlesworths project involved demolition of the existing ground floor and basement fitout, replacement of the shop fronts, installation a new dumbwaiter, storage fitout of the tenancy basement, retail fitout of the ground floor area, lighting and services upgrades, meeting access and DDA requirements and liaison with State Heritage Unit and Adelaide City Council. 

The client had a standard palette of colours, signage, fixtures and fittings which Grieve Gillett Architects reviewed and negotiated improvements, which will be progressively implemented across the brand.
